Help Wildlife Rescue to Get a Rescue Vehicle.
Hello,
This is Nadeem Shehzad from Wildlife Rescue (WR), New Delhi, India. I run a bird rehabilitation center called Wildlife Rescue in India and I am also one of the board members of the US organization called Raptor Rescue and Research Inc (R3), which is a 501(c)(3) organization.
The story of WR is beautifully covered in an Oscar Nominated (2023) feature documentary called "All That Breathes". The film is available on HBO MAX in the US.
Website of WR: www.raptorrescue.org
R3 is raising funds to help organizations rehabilitate raptors. Currently, R3 is raising funds for WR to buy a rescue vehicle as WR is taking in a huge number of raptors in New Delhi, India and needs a car to rescue these birds.
Wildlife Rescue receives about 8 to 10 birds every day. They do not have a rescue vehicle and in India not everyone owns a car. To get an injured bird to safety, people expect a rescue center to come and get the bird. As they do not have any rescue vehicle, they have to say “no” to at least 3 cases every day, which might result in the deaths of these birds.
Tata Motor’s Tiago EV is an electric car which will not use fossil fuels which are expensive in India and an electric car will be environment friendly as well. Wildlife Rescue’s future plan is to get completely off grid and use solar power to run their center.
There is a rule in India that petroleum vehicles are to be scrapped at 15 years of age and so far there is no age limit for an electric vehicle.
Tata Motor’s Tiago EV variant XT(MR) costs about US$10,750/-
We have raised US$6,000/- so far for the ambulance
We need US$4,750/- to be able to support Wildlife Rescue to buy this ambulance and help in saving more birds.
