Child Abuse & Neglect Emergency Shelter, Inc. (d.b.a. Rainbow House)

I am a senior at David H. Hickman High School, representing Hickman's Marching Band as a candidate for Homecoming Royalty. After a round of voting by our students, I am grateful to have made it to the Top Ten Royalty Court. From here, there will not only be a vote to determine who takes the crown, but also a giant fundraising opportunity that I am beyond excited for. I believe the charity that I have chosen to fundraise for is doing phenomenal work in our community and deserves as much support as we can possibly give it.

I am very proud to be fundraising for Rainbow House. I feel deep passion in supporting this local charity that serves as a Child Abuse and Neglect Emergency Shelter. Rainbow House's mission is to keep children safe and to support families in crises through prevention, assessment, and intervention in child abuse and neglect. A donation of any value will make an impact and a donation of any value will go directly towards helping children who are in need in our community. Hi my name is Ella! Learning through my own experiences I have noticed the resources to helping child abuse are limited. I want to make a change and raise as much money as I can to help support and raise awareness to abuse. As a community we can better support abused children by raising awareness, providing resources for families, and creating safe spaces for children to share their experiences. It's also important to have strong support systems in place, like counseling services and foster care, to help children heal and thrive. ❤️
