Stephen Coburn is fundraising

10,000 Hearts for Hope
Hello, my name is Stephen Coburn and this is my story for each of you, and my special request to each person who reads this. First of all, I am nobody special. I am not famous, I am not an influencer, a star athlete, a celebrity, and I have zero followers. To be honest, this story is not even about me at all. I am real, this is not a scam, and I have a special mission I want to accomplish. I am 49 years old, I have a beautiful family, and I have been a police officer in Northeast Ohio for the same department for over 25 years and hoping to do another 8 more. I am a Christ follower who gave my life to Jesus in the middle of 2023 and made my public declaration by getting baptized on October 1, 2023, in Wadsworth, Ohio. From there I went "All In" with Christ. I went back to school in 2023, attending Liberty University online, to get two degrees. I am finishing my degree in Criminal Justice and Homeland Security, and I am getting a second degree in Apologetics. My wife is a nurse and has gone down a similar path and is also attending Liberty University. Last year I went on my first ever Missions Trip to Nicaragua to help build a Bible College. My wife is days away from going on her first Missions trip to Puerto Rico. I also dabble in reselling online to make extra money for my family.
This year my church has a "Special Missions Project" to help build a Women’s Center in Bishoftu, Ethiopia. This center includes a church, women’s home, education center, health center, cafeteria, greenhouse, and playground for the children. My personal goal is to get 10,000 different people to donate $1 to my church's Special Missions Project for 2025, acknowledging my personal request. I know a lot of you could or would donate more, and I could even possibly reach my goal faster, with fewer people, but here is why I want to do it in this fashion. To many, I am sure donating to this fund may seem weird, possibly even giving a feeling of uncertainty to its credibility. Being a police officer, I totally get it and understand. This is why I even shared with everyone so much personal information. I want to be 100% upfront, raw, unpolished, but most importantly, I want this to be "Trusted and Transparent." I can be Googled, and I have a Facebook page. I don't want this to be at all about me; I want 10,000 humans to do something "together" that is going to help a lot of women and children have a solid foundation to succeed. I want just $1 and a name from 10,000 different people. I want to post each person's name and their $1 donation so each one of us shares in achieving this goal with me. I also very much hope it is a success because if it is, I may return next year to ask each of you again for $1 and a name to support a different "Special Mission." It will be easier for me to do that instead of getting $25 here, $10 there, $50 over there, etc. I do not want to break anyone, I don't want to overextend my request, and I want everyone to be a public part of this experience. I just want to see if it can be done, and I want to do it by December 2025. If you are interested in being a part of this, please jump in. If you wanted to give any more, please, for every dollar you wanted to donate, share my story with one person for each dollar, and encourage them to support me in attempting to reach my goal. It would mean the world to me, just an average guy trying to be a catalyst to something bigger than all of us, that would benefit so many. Please pray about this, post about this, share about this, talk about this, heck, send a message about this to someone via carrier pigeon!
