We're in a crisis and need your help immediately!
"Help Keep Our KC Nonprofit Alive – $5, $10, $20 Changes Everything"
We’re a small Kansas City / struggling / nonprofit fighting poverty, homelessness, unemployment, and blight in our Eastern Urban Core community.
Right now, we’re in crisis: Rent is overdue, utilities are stacking up, and basic supplies are running out. Without help, we could lose our space and stop serving families who need us most.
We need to raise $50,000 to cover rent, utilities-(we already lost our gas for heating), supplies, and a small buffer to keep going while we chase bigger grants.Your gift matters—no amount is too small: $5 = office supplies to keep planning programs
$10 = helps pay part of the electric bill
$20 = keeps internet on for connecting people to resources
Whether you’re young and want to make a difference, or you’ve seen these challenges up close, your support keeps hope alive here. Every dollar goes straight to keeping our doors open.
Who we are
We are Quality Day Campus Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (Tax ID: 43-1859610) based in Kansas City, Missouri. I am Lamar Mickens, President and Treasurer. For over 20 years we have provided direct services and support to children, families, and individuals in underserved communities.
Why we need extra money right now
We are facing a critical cash-flow shortfall at our current location (3943 Paseo Blvd). Ongoing operating expenses have piled up due to rising costs and delayed funding, putting our day-to-day operations at risk.
How we will use the donations raised
The $50,000 will be used exclusively for immediate operating needs at our existing facility:
- Past rent + late fees: $8,000
- Rent for the next 6 months: $7,800
- Current and past-due utilities: $15,000
- Vehicle repair (transportation for program participants): $2,500
- Additional used vehicle purchase (to replace unreliable transport): $15,000
- Insurance and miscellaneous operating costs: $1,700
Total: $50,000
