Purple Garage

Hello everyone,

My name is Joe Golio, and I’m the treasurer of the Purple Garage, an automotive club at CU-ICAR.

Our mission is to give undergraduate and graduate students hands-on experience working with real vehicles while applying the knowledge they gain in their classes. We want the Purple Garage to be accessible to every student, regardless of their financial situation. That’s why our constitution guarantees that we will never charge membership fees.

Instead, we rely on university funding, sponsors, and donations to keep our projects moving and ensure that every student has the same opportunity to participate.

This semester, we’re raising funds to support our ongoing projects, purchase parts, and help bring new opportunities to our members. With the LS4 build ramping up—and several other exciting projects that I’m looking forward to announcing—we’re hoping to make this an incredible semester for the Purple Garage.

Our goal is to raise five thousand dollars, which will fully fund our LS project and allow us to begin other projects that I am thrilled to tell you more about soon. Any donation, no matter the size, will directly support student learning and help us provide meaningful, hands-on automotive experience. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign with your friends, family, and network would mean just as much to us.
