In Memory of LTJG Andrew Lorimer
LTJG Andrew James (AJay) Lawrence Lorimer of Springville, Iowa, graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2019 with honors and a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was proud to serve his country in the US NAVY where he served aboard the USS INDIANA as a Submarine Officer in the capacity of RCA – Reactor Control Assistant. LTJG Lorimer ended his suffering in his earthly life on June 29, 2021.
Recognizing that many in the Navy Family would like an opportunity to honor Andrew’s memory, this fundraiser has been established to raise funds for Puppy Jake Foundation. Puppy Jake Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping military veterans through the assistance of well bred, socialized and professionally trained service dogs.
The costs to raise a service dog is approximately $18,000 to $20,000. This does include the purchase of the puppy and food, veterinary care and training for up to 2 years.
For veterans - Puppy Jake Foundation does NOT charge for a service dog. There is an application fee of $150 at the second phase of the application process.
