PTA Utah Congress (Hawthorne Elementary Pta)

The Hawk Walk is over. But you can still donate. We are so close to our goal, can you help us reach it?

The goal is to raise the funds PTA uses during the year on this one day without selling cookie dough, wrapping paper, or chocolate. Other fundraisers give back 50% or less of money earned. The Hawk Walk allows us to keep all donations in our school.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Students earn money by asking family, friends, and neighbors to pledge an amount for their walk. Families are encouraged to raise donations and walk together.

Our goal is to raise $10,000. If every student can raise $25 we can accomplish this goal. Donations can be as small as $1. Every pledge helps, no matter how small.

Please include the name of the student you are supporting and, if you know it, their grade/teacher.

WHAT ARE FUNDS USED FOR
Hawthorne PTA supports the educational experience of the students through many activities such as:

·         Student Field Trips

·         Free books to students

·         Reflections Art Program

·         Yearbooks

·         Art Walk

·         Art & PE Supplies

ADDING COMMENTS TO GOFUNDME
To leave a comment specifying which student/teacher/grade you are donating for:
1. After you make a donation you will see a screen that says "Now help spread the word"
2. Select “Continue” at the bottom of the page and the next page will give you an option to leave a comment.
3. Type your comment in the box that says “I donated because…”
4. Select “Post Comment” to save 

After donating, you can still go back and add a comment. Go to your email receipt then: 
1. Scroll down to the bottom of the receipt
2. Select "Add Comment"
3. Select the pencil, seen in the right-hand corner next to "Edit"
4. Edit your comment and save

The funds earned will be used to enrich the educational experiences for all students at Hawthorne through many activities, including:  Student Field Trips, Book Distributions, Reflections Art Program, Family Night Activities, School P.E. Equipment, the Production of Yearbooks and T-shirts, and much, much, more.

Please be sure to include your student's name and teacher's name in the comments so that we can count it toward your student's class total.
