Why I Support Providence House Crisis Nursery
Jennifer Toothman, Committee Chair and Founder of the Annual Motorcycle Run Supporting Providence House is deeply personal to me. I was drawn to this organization not only because of its core values, but because of what it represents: hope, stability, and compassion in moments of crisis. My name is Jennifer Toothman, and I am a Committee Chair and the founder of the Annual Motorcycle Run benefiting Providence House. This event is one way I strive to give back and raise awareness for a cause that has touched my heart in a very personal way. My mother was a survivor. She faced hardships that no child or family should have to endure alone. Looking back, I often think how different her life—and the lives of so many others—might have been if a place like Providence House had been available to her. An organization that provides not only safe shelter, but also understanding and real support could have changed the course of her story. Providence House is more than just a crisis nursery. It’s a lifeline. Their Family Preservation Crisis Nursery offers free emergency shelter to children from newborn through age 12 whose families are experiencing trauma or crisis. What makes this organization truly special is that it doesn’t stop at caring for the children—it also supports parents and guardians as they work to regain stability and prevent the need for foster care placement. In times of crisis, many families don’t know where to turn. That’s why I believe so strongly in spreading awareness about the incredible work Providence House does. The more people who know this support exists, the more families we can keep together and lift up. It’s my honor to support Providence House and to play a small part in furthering their mission. I invite others to join me in riding, in donating, in sharing—because together, we can help keep children safe and families strong. With gratitude, Jennifer Toothman Committee Chair & Founder, Annual Providence House Motorcycle
