Prostate cancer is the most common non-skin cancer among men in America. In the United States, 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. The American Cancer Society estimates over 310,000 new cases of prostate cancer in the United States in 2025. This number continues to increase every year. The Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) has been working for the past 32 years helping to develop new research, medicine, and treatments to combat and end prostate cancer.

This year marks the 7th annual No Shave Movember. Our team has raised over $28,000 across the past few years and are looking to continue our support this year!

The No Shave Movember Challenge was started to create an engaging way to raise funds and awareness for/about prostate cancer research and prostate health. We decided to merge the formats from other grooming-related challenges into the most engaging and effective way to raise donations. Here is how it works:

Step 1: No Shave Movember Team Members commit to NOT shave for the whole month of November, building up a strong beard base.

Step 2: Supporters, such as yourselves, place votes (by donation) on which MO Style the Team Member you support will shave to. Choose from our 4 styles above!

Every $5 donated = 1 MO Vote

Every $50 donated = 15 MO Votes

Step 3: At the end of November, Team Members will shave to a final grooming MO Style decided by their supporters!

The San Diego Golf Course Superintendents Association is proud to continue our mission of raising awareness and funds for prostate cancer research through our annual charity golf tournament, the “Don’t Stop Believin’ Invitational.”

Now in its 7th year, this event has raised over $156,000 to date, with 100% of donations going directly to the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF)—a leading research organization focused on prevention, early detection, and ultimately, a cure for prostate cancer.

Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death among men in the United States, affecting 1 in 8 during their lifetime. The good news? Early detection saves lives. Men are encouraged to get screened starting at age 50—or earlier with a family history.
