Help Project Prana Battle COVID-19 in India
Project Prana 501(c)(3) is a nonprofit organization from Harvard and MIT that invented the iSAVE. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, a team of engineers and clinicians from MIT, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and Philips developed the Individualized System for Augmenting Ventilator Efficacy (iSAVE), which safely allows a single ventilator and oxygen support device to simultaneously support multiple patients . The system has been validated in animal models and multiple ICU ventilators. The system’s design and validation are detailed in a Science Translational Medicine paper and have been released open source .
In just three days, India has reported over 1 million new COVID-19 cases, bringing it to above 17 million total cases. India has 20% of the world's population, 12% of COVID-19 cases, and respiratory devices are in a dire shortage. The iSAVE can expand ventilator capacity and oxygen support, minimizing the need to procure additional devices for emergency situations during COVID-19.
Your $400 donation can help hospitals double the number of patients they can treat. Please help us battle COVID-19 surge in India.
