For over 23 years Prison Book Project has been sending books into prisons with one vision in mind to Touch Lives Behind Bars. We are now in over 2,100 facilities in 39 countries with over 900 facilities on the waiting list. In the last 4 years we have distributed over 1.1 MILLION books and an average of 267,000 books a year! EACH BOOK IS READ ON AVERAGE 30 TIMES.
We receive 1,500 letters per month from inmates thanking us and asking for more books.
A very generous foundation has offered us a $50,000 grant towards the purchase of a building but we need to raise an additional $50,000 to receive the funds. We have raised $25,000 and need $25,000 by MAY 1 to complete the match. We are a 501c3 non profit organization and gifts are tax deductible.
This is amazing news, and shows the confidence this foundation has in our programs. But… in order to unlock these funds, we need your help!
