Two beautiful lives were lost in Minneapolis as the new school year began.
Research from the Violence Project reveals an important truth: A mass shooting begins long before the actual event, often with the shooter's traumatic childhood.
This is why I'm using my upcoming half marathon at the Bear Chase Race to raise funds for Prevent Child Abuse America . Childhood trauma directly contributes to the development of individuals who later commit these horrific crimes. By addressing trauma early, we can prevent future tragedies.
