Precious Petz Rescue

Precious Petz Rescue is desperate to raise funds for Lena, a 2 yr old toy poodle, saved by a monk from the meat market. Lena has not had a good life in her short period of life, yet she forgives and is extremely loving. We were asked by Yue Tang, a rescuer in China to please take her as she had no hope of any sort of life otherwise. Lena arrived on May 29th, every rib could be felt and her hip bones were so sharp. She was suffering from severe Giardia. She gained 2 lbs and we treated her for the Giardia. At this point we could then address her other issues, a front leg that paddles out when she walks and a hind leg that is frozen in place. Little did we know the true extent of her abuse or torture. She had been picked up by her front leg to permanently dislocate her shoulder. She was picked up by her hind leg and must have been flung with such force that her knee completely left its socket and was forced up over her thigh twisting her foot to the side. I can't imagine the pain she has suffered and brings tears to my eyes. Lena has captured the hearts of anyone who has come into contact with her and we want her life to improve so that she may have a permanent wonderful home of her own. We have the ability for a date for her to be operated on at the Animal Medical Center, NYC on August 25th. I know this is an ambitious goal to achieve in such a short amount of time but I know we have wonderful followers who have seen how life changes for these China dogs. Lena was one of the last dogs to make it out of China for the next year now. This makes her very special. Please donate anything you can, no amount is to small.
