Powerhouse Youth Project

Join me in making a difference! I'm raising money to benefit the Powerhouse Youth Project. Any donation you make will help young people by developing a digital mentor platform to impact students’ futures.

Powerhouse starts with 3 CORE values: 

Powerhouse believes every student has a passion and purpose. Second, we believe everyone needs someone in their life to achieve their purpose. And finally, we believe, "Every choice will cost you something!"

Students need a chance to discover their purpose. Today, students are taught to "test well" and have been branded before the 4th grade as to their achievement level in life. We want students prepared for life!

Help us deliver HOPE to all children and students by discovering and achieving their full potential.  The digital APP makes this strategy scalable so any school in the country can use it. It broadens the mentor net to bring mentors into a student's life from anywhere and from the safety of their home computer or phone.

We are already providing the basic educational components to students and seeing amazing results. Students are finding direction and pursuing their passion and purpose. Imagine, when we can build this digital component and open the mentor possibilities so no community or student is limited by their geography. Students will be able to chat with folks from all over the nation in a safe, secure environment and learn about career paths and what steps they need to take to achieve their purpose. All mentors will pass a level 2 background check and receive training to be set up for success.

DOES IT WORK?

We administered the D.I.S.C. for career placement to a large group of students and young adults. Near the end of the testing, a student yelled out in excitement about the conclusions of her test. It confirmed what her passion was focused on and even better before she left the room, we connected her to several adults in that career field to gain insight and next steps. She has been texting me the results and keep in mind, that she does not know me other than this one testing opportunity. Her passion is driving her to connect. Purpose is the reason she is on the journey. Passion is the fire that lights the way. Powerhouse is the Process of that journey.

The Powerhouse Youth Project is dedicated to engaging and impacting today's youth by providing opportunities and platforms that will change the trajectory of the future of those at risk. Powerhouse connects with students using a High Tech/High Touch platform beginning with powerful school assemblies which lead to interactive learning experiences where students discover and identify the vision for their future. Students are then springboarded into a mentorship strategy focused on career development and keeping them on track for life change. This program will engage, educate and connect a student for life's journey
