Help Local Kids Attend Pleasantville Camp
This initiative aims to provide scholarship funding for free & reduced lunch recipients (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program SNAP) families to send their children to the Pleasantville Village Town Camp.
The purpose is to cover the monetary needs to provide access to, and participation in, the Pleasantville Village Town Camp, for at least seven children, whose families may not otherwise be able to afford a camp experience for their sons and/or daughters.
We are seeking to bridge the affordance gap to the scholarship funding provided by the village. To date, the $20,000 scholarship budget has been exhausted and there is still a waiting list of seven qualifying children in need of funding.
Should we reach our goal of $15,370, it will be possible to allow all children on the waitlist to participate in a full six-week session of the camp. This summer, many of our neighbors are struggling with the uncertainty of childcare for their children.
How Can you Help? Your contribution with any dollar amount will help provide children with a structured, safe and enriching summer experience.
Every dollar you donate will be doubled: The Pleasantville chapters of the Rotary, Lions & Pleasantville Hiawatha Lodge #434 will match total donations of up to $6,000.00. That means whatever is raised via this Gofundme page will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $6000, effectively turning $6000 into $12,000!

The cost for a six-week session of town camp is as follows:
* $575 -$835 (Junior Camp Age 3- Grade K)
* $1,185 - $1355(Senior Camp Grades 1-5)
* $2,715-$2900 (Teen Travel Camp Grades 6-9)
