30 for 30
Have a peek, but not a piece. At the PEP Party we even had cake - not one but two. Look in a day or two to see the other one.
While your taste buds tingle, know the we are at $18, 871. Looking for $129 - or five $30 donors. Are you out there? Thank you. With our final push to February 14 we have hope we'll get closer to our ambitious $30,000 goal. Can you give a little pre-valentine love by sharing our link at 30for30. Or perhaps you have even a bit more to spare. Do know that sharing our site link definitely helps: Have a peek, but not a piece. At the PEP Party we even had \ cake - not 1 but 2. 30 for 30 - $30 for 30 Years - Help us fund another 30 years of poetry!
Planet Earth Poetry invites you to join our campaign, with your donation of $30.00, and you'll get an automatic charitable donation receipt.
Reading series across the country are vanishing, as arts funding dwindles in these tough economic times — Planet Earth Poetry (aka PEP) has served the poetry community for 30 years, and we don't want to vanish! You may know that we pay every one of our featured poets a reading fee. If every audience member, and every poet who has benefited from PEP over the years participates, we are sure to reach our goal.
Planet Earth Poetry has been continuously programming poetry readings, workshops, and publications since 1995––even through Covid and other challenges. It has thrived and survived with fantastic volunteer support, public donations, in-kind contributions, and sporadic grant funding. PEP has been able to offer readings and streams for free. But now we face financial challenges with unpredictable and shrinking grant funding. I'm the volunteer President of the society, and along with Zoe Dickinson, one of the heart-beats of PEP, we're speaking to you on behalf of poetry.
30 for 30 is PEP’s 30th Anniversary fundraising campaign––to support our poetry programs now and into the future.
If you donate today, you’ll ensure our continuation––and poets, listeners, readers, poetry publishers, and poetry itself, will thank you.
Maybe a $300 donation suits you better. Or $30 a month, or perhaps your limit is $3. All will be gratefully received, and donations are receipted. Your help can ensure our stability and continuing poetry activities––presenting poets, local and from across Canada.
Our new and final goal is to hit as close as we can to $30,000 by February 14, 2026.
Will you help PEP reach that goal?
