PLACE® is a nonprofit that works with cities and foundations in a process that empowers communities to create and sustain their new neighborhoods. Every PLACE community is powered by green energy. Each offers affordable living and working for artists, filmmakers, musicians, writers, city workers, teachers, and others who contribute to cultural infrastructure. Our communities provide commercial, office, and retail space for creative small businesses. PLACE knows that the healthiest communities offer housing opportunities for people of every kind, and from every economic background. Every PLACE community is designed to be a diverse, multigenerational eco-village, built with healthy materials, infused with arts and culture, with access to transit and alternative mobility.
