Mt Kilimanjaro Climb to support Piedmont Park
Thank you for supporting Piedmont Park through my climb of Mt Kilimanjaro!
Piedmont Park is an absolute gem for the city of Atlanta, and I'm proud to be a small part of helping support it.
I'm also lucky to be pursuing two of my passions – as a Midtown resident, I consider Piedmont Park to be my backyard, and I walk my dog Amber there just about every day. I've also had Mt Kilimanjaro on my bucket list for several years, and now This Is Happening!
To climb Mt Kilimanjaro, I've chosen the Lemosho route, which takes 8 days on the mountain. If... no, When all goes as planned, I will summit on July 2nd – stay tuned and wish me luck!
Note that my climb is self-funded, so 100% of proceeds go to the Piedmont Park Conservancy. The mission of the Piedmont Park Conservancy is to enhance and preserve Piedmont Park as a vital, urban green space and as a cultural and recreational resource that enriches the quality of life for all Atlantans.
