Help Refugees at the Border
Philos Health medical volunteers are going to Tijuana, Mexico in two weeks to provide medical care to refugees from Central and South America who are waiting in shelters for their asylum hearings. Through our Philos contacts we will bring medicine but now urgently need your help to purchase (in Mexico) hygiene products and other daily essentials.
Annie and I returned today from a Tijuana, visiting shelters and assessing needs. Thousands of people are without basic necessities, sleeping on the floor in overcrowded shelters and waiting for three months or more for their chance to to plea for asylum. This tragic situation is due to the despicable policies policies of our government. Neither the US or Mexican Governments are providing assistance despite this humanitarian disaster.
We must take a stand and in a small way do what we can to alleviate their suffering.
We will return in 2 weeks with 5 volunteer doctors.
Your assistance will be most appreciated and will significantly impact the lives of this group of 9000+ people, addressing medical needs and bringing dignity to their lives.
