Help Save Our School!!
PEI parents, alumni and friends we need your help to save the school. PEI has been in operation for over 20 years and over 400 enfants incroyables have graduated from our beloved school and it might close after all these years unless our dear community comes together.
As you know, the City of Austin is growing and with that growth comes massive change. Our beloved school on Burnett was sold and we were asked to relocate. Right as we were preparing to move PEI to a beautiful large facility on the East Side - 831 Springdale , we were informed by the City that the property was not zoned properly for a preschool. So, we are now knee-deep in the expensive and time-sucking process of working with the City of Austin to acquire the correct permits to operate our school in the new location. To keep the school alive day-to-day we must take enrollment down to the legal number of kids we can operate without a permit - six kids - while we trudge through the permit process. This is not sustainable. We need to fast track the permit approval process, but it will cost us $25,000 over 4-6 months barely in time to be ready for Summer or Fall session and get enrollment back up to the 20+ children the school so proudly serves.
That leaves us with the only option of you... the fantastic alumni, friends, families, and supporters of this beautiful little program, to come and save the day.
We've already been blessed by some good fortune in the way of some current and former PEI families donating their time, energy and money to see the school continue. Sadly that generosity will not take us the whole way, which is why we've set up this fundraiser.
Please... If you, your children (amazingly there are already students of PEI who could have kids of their own!!), or your grandchildren have had a positive experience with PEI and would like to see this Austin tradition continue, donate now.
