Pet Whisker

It is the mission of Pet Whisker to protect and shelter stray, orphaned, abandoned and unwanted domestic animals and to promote the co-existence of all creatures with humans for a healthy environment. We strive to relocate all adoptable animals to responsible, loving, permanent homes. To do so, we coordinate with local, state and International animal shelters, rescue leagues, foster homes and animal welfare organizations that also strive to relocate all adoptable animals to responsible, loving, permanent homes. We assist in the enforcement of laws relating to the humane care, treatment and well being of animals. We educate children and adults within our area; of the importance of regular vaccinations and veterinary care, to prevent the spread of disease; of the proper way to house, care for and treat animals and pets, to foster kindness toward all animals; of laws and regulations regarding the care and treatment of animals, to stress that animals are afforded legal rights under The Constitution of the United States, to eliminate cruelty and neglect; of the important work and duties which animals perform, hoping to instill humane attitudes toward all animals and how much the existence of human beings depends on animals to perform these duties. We educate and stress the importance of surgical sterilization to animals to reduce and eventually eliminate unwanted births, to stop animal overpopulation and to protect the health and safety of the public. It is the goal of Pet Whisker to promote a healthy existence between all animals, humans included, not only within our own area but throughout the world.
