Meet Teagan, our sweet and resilient foster puppy. Teagan came into our care after suffering severe neglect and starvation under the "care" of her previous owners. At just 6 months old, Teagan should weigh around 50 pounds, but she currently weighs only 28 pounds. This emaciated condition has caused several health complications that are preventing her from growing and thriving as she should.

Teagan’s journey has been anything but easy. The lack of proper care has left her struggling with medical issues, and she is currently at NC State Veterinary Hospital awaiting surgery to fix her lungs and possibly even remove a whole dying section of her lungs to beat the infection. Without the surgery, Teagan may not survive. This surgery is crucial to her recovery and will help improve her overall health. However, the cost of the surgery and her ongoing medical care is beyond what the shelter can manage without help.

That’s where you come in. We’re asking for the support of our community to help fund Teagan’s surgery and care. With your donation, we can provide her with the treatment she desperately needs, so she can finally experience the joy of being a healthy, happy puppy and to know what a full belly feels like. We were able to visit her today and witnessed a glimmer of the playful spirit as she continues on her incredibly arduous journey.
