During this specific project, we have observed that schools around us in Altamonte Springs have been struggling due to different factors such as funding and the financial well-being of families purchasing supplies. As our organization looked through different ways we could support local schools, we found a list of school supplies that Spring Lake Elementary School had requested and we decided to support them in the holiday spirit. PUREFemme, a menstrual hygiene awareness campaign, is focused on educating adolescent girls in managing menstruation adequately and with dignity. The goal of the program is to not let menstruation impact our girl’s right to education. Facilitating easy access to hygiene products and demonstrating their usage, interactive sessions to help them understand puberty, including teachers & boys in the conversation to create normalcy around this culturally forbidden topic will ensure a supportive environment.

PURE Femme's Goals:
PROVIDE Education on menstrual hygiene to girls so that they are confident and empowered to make informed decisions on how they manage menstruation.
PROMOTE Menstrual education for teachers, boys, parents so they can help break negative social norms.
ENABLE Girls to stay in school by ensuring access to hygienic menstrual products, toilets, water and disposal options.

We reach thousands of girls each month while school is in session.

In this specific project, PURE Youth Orlando and PURE Femme are joining together for a project to help support menstrual health in Less Developed Countries. We are raising money to manufacture pads for girls. The pads will be manufactured in Mamada, Nirmal, which is a small town in the Nirmal district, an underdeveloped area of the Telangana state in India. Another pro of this project is purchasing pads from this factory which supports women's rights by employing local women. The pads are also biodegradable so that we can help the environment as well. The pads are made under the name of “Sahaja” , PURE used these pads during recent COVID-19 relief activities and to also support a remote tribal village ‘Vastapur’ on a monthly basis. Sahaja pada will be PURE pads going forward. There is also no cost of shipping since they are produced and distributed in the same area of manufacturing. The pads will be distributed in Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana. Other branches are also raising money for workshops to educate boys and girls to promote gender equality in conjunction with our project. Thank you in advance for donating!

PURE, People for Urban and Rural Education, is a not for profit organization founded in 2016 to bring educational and livelihood opportunities closer to the economically disadvantaged children, at-risk youth and special populations.

We at PURE strive to address the disadvantaged rural and urban schools, children’s shelters and special need centers. Through education and reaffirming our belief in quality life for all, we aspire to bring students from diverse socio-economic and geographical backgrounds together for a better tomorrow.

For our current project, we are fundraising money to provide clothes and undergarment support for orphanages near Hyderabad, India. With the current Covid-19 pandemic limiting resources we need all the help we can get, so every donation will mean so much!

Specifically in our Healthcare Heroes project, we are raising money to send 50 boxed lunches to an Advent Health warehouse that has been working tirelessly 24/7 to support hospitals with medical supplies. We are sending them sandwiches from Boston Coffeehouse which is a local restaurant that is struggling. Please help us make a difference by appreciating healthcare workers and supporting local businesses, we are counting on you!

Provide meals and basic supplies to the most vulnerable during the lockdown! 

Migrant workers in India are on the verge of starvation deaths from losing their livelihoods. Most of them are now homeless as well. Let's help feed the families who are stranded and those who set out on foot to walk hundreds of miles to reach their hometowns. Hunger deaths have no place in this day and age!

PURE is working in collaboration with community kitchens in Hyderabad and New Delhi, local volunteers in the villages and towns in identifying the need and quickly providing support.

What are you donating towards:

With COVID-19 lockdown in India, migrant families are the worst affected. Daily wagers have lost their livelihood. the means to feed their families and some have been forced to vacate their rented spaces. We are running this campaign to provide nutrition to the migrant families in Hyderabad and other districts in Telangana & Andhrapradesh, New Delhi and Bangalore.

Your donations will support migrant families' grocery needs for more than a week.


How you can support:

● Donate at least 20USD to support grocery needs for more than a week for one migrant, daily wage-earning family. 

● Donate 40USD to support meals for 100 stranded workers. 200USD will feed 500 workers.



How we are working:

 PURE is working in collaboration with NGOs, institutions, volunteers, and communities to ensure delivery to those who need it most in Hyderabad and other districts in Telangana & Andhra Pradesh.


What we did so far for COVID-19 relief:


PURE, People for Urban and Rural Education, has been focused on relief efforts for those impacted by the much needed but unprecedented COVID-19 lockdown. Vulnerable segments identified and supported by PURE so far are

1. Institutions impacted by restriction of mobility thus losing in-kind donations that help run their old-age homes, orphanages (CCIs) and homes for special needs persons. Ration and other basics including hygiene products have been delivered to four old age homes,.

2. Two special needs homes, 4 orphanages2. Individuals affected by lost wages and work in rural areas were supported with ration and basic needs. Medicines where needed, purchasing prescription medication locally which would otherwise be received from government hospitals. Requests are pouring in from all over Telangana and Andhra Pradesh This is a continued effort.

3. Migrant workers stranded in Hyderabad. PURE pledged support for 25000 meals through community kitchens being run in partnership with GHMC

4. Sanitation material for slums. Started with slums near Bandlaguda Jagir. 100 families will be provided soap and hand wash.

5. Counseling those in distress. Supporting families of students whose educational needs are regularly taken care of thru PURE.



PURE needs your support to continue to work on alleviating the hardships of those who reach out to us and also actively look for those in need using our volunteer network that’s spread out across the state from the villages we have supported in the past with Educational needs and disaster relief.

Kids in the villages and lower income families are sturdy, sportive, dedicated and have a zeal to achieve something in their lives. Along with basic aminities such as food, shelter and education,  these  innocent poor kids are less fortunate as they don't have access to quality sports education and training facilities. HIMA DAS  and POORNA MALAVATH  are outliers though, as they have over come all the social and economical barriers  because they were given a chance to fulfill their dreams. Thanks to all the generous and committed Teachers, Coaches and the Community around  them.




Now we are on a Mission to create many more Poorna and Hima's in the field of badminton. Please join hands with us in this noble mission, the mission to create future sports stars from these downtrodden communities.



PURE and SMS-IDEA are joining hands with "First Step Sportz Akademy" in Hyderabad, to provide Badminton coaching  to these poor kids studying in Govt. Zilla Parishad High School , near Hayathnagar- Hyderabad.

Hi everyone, 

Our organization, People for Urban and Rural Education (PURE), seeks to confront inequality by increasing educational opportunities for children in impoverished communities at home in the United States and in India. The proceeds from this Gofundme page will be put towards constructing a roofed area in the ZPSS Mogilicherla school in Telangana, India so that children at this school can eat without being directly exposed to the elements. $2700 will also be set aside for digital classrooms and a reverse osmosis plant in Yedunutala, Warangal that will reach 400 children. 25% of the proceeds from this page and from our other events are put towards bettering the situation in inner-city schools in the United States, namely those that cater to disadvantaged communities.
