Ride Across America in Memory of Jim Spooner
Jim Spooner and several of his friends planned to ride motorcycles from Fort Myers, FL to San Francisco this summer. Unfortunately, Jim was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma brain cancer in the Fall of 2019 and he passed away in December.
It was Jim’s idea to take this trip but Mark Weissmann, Dan Lafever, and Bob Anderson were “all in” when he proposed it to us. To honor Jim’s memory and raise money for a PediPlace we decided to go ahead with the trip. We are leaving Fort Myers on June 9th and arriving in San Francisco on June 23rd. Along the way friends in Denver and Salt Lake City will be joining us. Please make a donation and follow our progress on our blog: https://campaignforpediplace.blogspot.com/
Jim was on the board of PediPlace In Lewisville, TX. PediPlace is a not-for-profit pediatric clinic that provides primary care pediatric health services to North Texas children who have limited access to care. PediPlace is staffed with highly competent and bilingual medical professionals, trained office staff, and dedicated volunteers. By providing quality, compassionate, family-centered healthcare PediPlace’s patients are given what they cannot access elsewhere, a chance at a healthy life.
Jim was an avid supporter of PediPlace and their mission to help families in need. Please join us in honoring Jim’s memory and supporting the essential work of PediPlace by making a donation.
