PeacefulPaws Rescue Inc. officially opened its doors in January 2024, and since then, we have dedicated ourselves to rescuing and rehoming countless animals in need. We are proud to have helped dozens of furry friends find loving homes, but the demand for assistance is overwhelming, with many more begging for our help.
The situation in Henderson County is critical. The local shelter remains closed, and SPCA East Texas has not accepted any intakes for the past five months. As a result, countless animals are left vulnerable and underserved. At PeacefulPaws, we are committed to making a difference, but we need your support to do so. Our organization is designed to be a foster-based 501(c)(3) rescue, but the urgent needs facing our community have made it clear that we must expand our capabilities.
To start, we plan to build a small facility that will provide a safe haven for these animals while we work to find them permanent homes. This fundraising campaign aims to raise the essential funds needed to secure the resources and infrastructure necessary to carry out our mission. While we know this won't solve the problem overnight, it is a vital first step towards providing the care and support these animals desperately need.
