Please help Pawsome Squad Cover Santis Medical!!!
Hi!
My name is Nicole, and for those who don’t know me or Santi—here’s our story.
I met Santi in 2024 when I took her in as a 5-day foster from NYC ACC during their move to Queens. Despite everything, she was calm, sweet, and full of life—even after being found as an overbred, abandoned stray. Shortly after, she was adopted in August 2024, and I was so happy for her.
In November 2025, I was heartbroken to learn she had been surrendered after a year due to separation anxiety and high energy. When we visited her, she was limping—something she never had before. The shelter warned it could be Degenerative Myelopathy, a disease that slowly paralyzes the body.
This April, Santi was placed on the euthanasia list. I took her out for a day to spoil her and show how incredible she is, hoping to find a foster. I couldn’t let her story end like this—abandoned twice and possibly suffering without proper medical care.
She was scheduled to be euthanized on April 22 at 2pm, but at 12:35pm, an amazing foster—Guada—stepped up and saved her.
Now, we need help covering Santi’s medical care. She urgently needs a neurologist, X-rays, and further testing to understand what’s happening with her leg.
Any support means the world. Thank you for helping us give Santi the chance she deserves.
With gratitude,
Nicole
