Paws of War

Hi, I am Jenna Donnenfeld and I am raising money for Paws of War for my Mitzvah project. I chose Paws of War because it is a great cause that helps animals and veterans.

PAWS OF WAR was formed 10 years ago and provides veterans, first responders and Gold Star families (people who sadly lost an immediate family member during military service) with a wide variety of important services through the power of love and support of rescued animals. For example, when a U.S. based soldier traveled to Israel to serve in the Israeli military after the October 7, 2023 attack, Paws of War placed the soldier's dog with temporary care in a loving Hebrew speaking household.

The PAWS OF WAR charity has a mission “To honor and support our veterans, active military members, firefighters and other first responders with services that enrich their lives through the rescue and training of service dogs for independence, adoption of companion animals, rescue of overseas animals in war zones, and other essential services to assist our heroes in need.”

Paws of War has a small disaster recovery team from NY onsite in Western NC. They brought and delivered supplies to local organizations. They urgently need to provide more water, gasoline, cattle feed, and pet food. We need your help to raise funds so they can continue to do this.

8 U.S. Army soldiers are trying to get the 8 rescued pups and their mom back to their homes in the U.S. where they will be reunited and can contine to experience the love and joy these pups have given them while deployed overseas. Meatball (the Mom), Marco, Azura, Connie, Thresher, Jacky, Ricky-Bobby, Chico & Bash are all sweet dogs, born into a family of soldiers, and they will surely die if they are left behind. Please help this rescue mission of mercy to keep these soldiers and the pups they love and have raised togehter.

Legislator Lafazan has set up a GoFundMe to raise $3,000 - the same amount that George Santos stole - to benefit Paws of War, an animal protection organization that trains and places shelter dogs to serve and provide independence to our U.S. military veterans that suffer from the emotional effects of war.

Paws of War Inc. is a non profit 501c3 charity. At Paws of War they train and place shelter dogs to serve and provide independence to our United States military veterans that suffer from the emotional effects of war such as PTSD. In turn each veteran can experience the therapeutic and unconditional love only a companion animal can bring.
