Hello, my name is Delaney Gade and I am helping to raise money for PAWS Chicago, in honor of my cousin Sarah Simental. Sarah was 18 years old and unexpectedly passed away of COVID-19 a few days after being diagnosed. Sarah wanted to be a veterinarian and volunteered at many animals shelters to be of help to the animals. I wish to do this for her and help the PAWS as well.

As some of you know, my beautiful cousin Sarah passed away recently.  Sarah was a friend, a counselor, a sister, an aunt, a daughter, a hiker, an adventurer, a listener, an avid runner, and an animal lover.   I want to honor  her  by running a half marathon and raising money for PAWS Chicago. 
*****My goal is to raise $100 for every year she lived on this Earth.****

RTR Chicago is releasing it’s very first Dogs of RTR calendar! We need your help! Each dollar you donate will be donated to PAWS Chicago! One dollar=One vote! The top 12 dogs will be brought in for a photo shoot and be featured in the 2020 calendar! Just put the dogs name in the comments, and don’t be afraid to vote for more than one! Calendars will be for sale starting in November.

Friends and Family, 

 As many of you know Dave and I rescued our two dogs, Lily and Rue from PAWS Chicago. They have been such a huge part of our lives and we only wish we could adopt more animals. 

We did, however, want to continue to raise money for PAWS Chicago to help rescue more animals in need. The devastation of Hurricane Harvey has haunted all of us with images of suffering and displaced people and animals. PAWS Chicago is in Houston working to help make a difference and rescue animals

Their rescue vans are in the process of evacuating pets from the region and bringing them to the PAWS Chicago Medical Center, alleviating some of the overcrowding. Their rescue efforts are focused on pets who were given up by their owners or who were previously in local shelters before Harvey hit, making room for the influx of homeless animals. With this rescue mission, PAWS Chicago’s need for resources have increased. Foster homes and medical supplies will be required to care for these animals, many of whom are sick, injured or traumatized by recent experiences.

Your donation will go towards medications, medical supplies, vaccines, van rental fees, and gas. This will not be a one-time trip, but rather an ongoing effort for long-term impact. You may or may not be aware, but my employer Edrington, will double match the first $2,500 I raise!!!
