Para Rowing Foundation

In March 2024 I was fortunate enough to have been given an opportunity to support the physical preparation of para-rowing athletes in Aviz, Portugal. It was a first for me working with para-athletes and I'm so blessed and thankful for the experience. Irrespective of any adversity, I can honestly say they were some of the hardest, passionate, friendly, and most diligent athletes I've ever worked with. As a result, it has made me a more adaptable and open-minded coach. An experience and memory I'll forever be grateful for.

As a way of saying thank you and allowing others to experience similar opportunities I had in March, I've decided to enter the Newport Marathon (April, 2026 | Goal = <2:45) and raise money for the hard-working and compassionate Para-Rowing Foundation (PRF).

PRF’s mission is to facilitate a path to competition for athletes with disabilities. They establish this path by removing barriers to participation for para rowers in this inclusive, high powered, competitive, international sport. Fundamentally, PRF is grounded in community. The selfless volunteers make the special experiences, which leave special memories and connections for all support staff and athletes beyond training camps.
