The Black Resilience Project
The Black Resilience Project is a compilation of authentic testimonials from former sharecroppers.
The purpose of this initiative is to record video or audio-based interviews to allow Black people to share their first-hand knowledge of living through sharecropping during the Jim Crow era.
The money we raise will be used to:
- provide gratitude gifts for the participants.
- purchase recording equipment and supplies.
- cover transportation expenses for home visits.
- unexpected expenses.
Now, more than ever, it is critical to preserve this important aspect of Black history. Future generations will feel inspired to learn the resilience their ancestors demonstrated during difficult times. Hopefully, they will gain the motivation to demonstrate resilience during difficult times in their lives.
