Palatine Township Need Family Fund

This year the Palatine High School Aquatics Program is teaming up with the Palatine Food Pantry for an exciting event to benefit our community. On Saturday, December 23rd from 12:00pm-4:00pm the Palatine Aquatics Program will be hosting our first ever Swim-A-Thon. This event will include participation from swimmers, divers, and water polo players from Palatine High School. The money raised will go towards helping families in need from the Palatine community. All donations from our Swim-A-Thon will be made in memory of Ben Stepp - an honor roll student, a dedicated swimmer and a great friend who passed away the summer before his 8th grade year. The season following Ben’s passing, the  Palatine Park District Swim Team adopted the phrase "Stepp UP." The record board at Birchwood pool holds the inscription: “If you have a lane, you have a chance … STEPP UP”.  Inspiring words in remebrance of an outstanding young man.

How funding works: Your $25 donation will guarantee 75 laps/15 dives, a $50 donation guarantees 125 laps/30 dives, a $75 donation guarantees 175 laps/45 dives and $100 or more donation guarantees 225 laps/60 dives by your sponsored athlete. You may also make a one-time donation in the amount of your choice. When making a donation PLEASE LEAVE THE NAME OF YOUR SPONSORED ATHLETE IN THE "DESCRIPTION" SECTION PROVIDED.

This event is open to the community. We encourage everyone to come out and see what Palatine High School Aquatics has to offer! There's no better way to celebrate the holiday season than to STEPP UP, have fun and give back to our community.

It’s that time again!  It’s your opportunity to make us look hilarious for the day by designing our beards for charity!  Back by popular demand (only no one knows why  :-) ).  Last year, we raised nearly $1,000 for those in need!  This year we have set a stretch goal of $2,000!  Every dollar raised from this event will be donated to the Palatine need family fund.  Attached are some of the pictures from last year’s event along with this year’s poster as inspiration.  Many thanks to Aaron Czajka for the artwork!

·        Floyd's Barbershop in Schaumburg will be bringing your creations to life on Friday, December 8th.  Get creative! 


What can you win:

·        An opportunity to design someone’s beard for the day.  You design it – we’ll wear it!  Each design will proudly be displayed the entire day in any client meetings, internal meetings, and any offsite gatherings. 

o   A total of 6 winners will be drawn – one for each participant

·        1st winner selected will also win a $100 gift card

·        2nd winner selected will also win a $50 gift card
