Support the Pacific Railroad Society
The Pacific Railroad Society is one of the oldest railroad clubs in the country. We operate a small museum in the historic former Santa Fe railroad station in the City of San Dimas. It contains a railroad research library and an archive of railroad image media from Southern California, dating back to the late 1930s. We also organize railroad-themed excursions using Amtrak, Metrolink, transit and our own private railroad car, the "National Forum." In addition, PRS holds monthly membership meetings, presents public programs, and publishes a monthly railroad newsletter.
New Challenge: The Vitaly Victor Uzoff Negative Collection is in danger of being lost. The collection is beginning to suffer from the dreaded "Vinegar Syndrome." This is an irreversible condition that will cause eventual destruction. We need equipment to conserve the collection until they can be digitized.
The Uzoff collection consists of 4x5 negatives of a wide variety of rare railroad subjects from the Eastern United States and abroad.
Your support will help preserve all the collections and cover the increased operating costs and our library and archive. Please join us in supporting the Pacific Railroad Society.
Thank you!
