Want to join us making a difference? We're raising money to benefit Our Military Kids, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to our fraternity's national philanthropy.

More information about Our Military Kids: Support and recognize children ages 3 to 18 years of deployed National Guard and Reserve and children of all Wounded Warriors. Assistance is in the form of grants to cover fees for tutoring, athletic, or fine arts programs. This ensures these children have access to a range of activities that might otherwise be unavailable to them because of economic hardship caused by deployment, or because they live too far from a military installation to use the many support options provided there.

The AGA Virginia Peninsula Chapter and Southside Virginia SDFM Chapter are excited to announce our joint annual Professional Development Training! Each year, we select a deserving charity as the beneficiary of the donations collected during this event.

This year, we are proud to support Our Military Kids, Inc., an incredible organization that provides grants to children of deployed National Guard, Reserve, and post-9/11 combat-injured service members, empowering them to stay engaged in sports, arts, and other enrichment activities during challenging times.

About Our Military Kids

Our Military Kids is a 501(c)(3) national nonprofit organization with a mission to recognize the service and sacrifice of military children by offering extracurricular activity grants when a parent is deployed with the National Guard, is deployed with the Reserve, or is a Veteran or member in any branch of service recovering from severe post-9/11 combat injuries. Participation in the activities minimizes emotional, behavioral, health, and academic difficulties when children or teens are separated from a parent physically or emotionally while also reinforcing the positive aspects of deployment or recovery such as building resilience, self-sufficiency, and strong family ties.
