For too many veterans, the battle doesn't end when they come home.
They've served this country with everything they had. But back on civilian ground, everyday obstacles can become impossible walls. Getting to a job interview. Making it to a VA appointment. Picking up medication. Visiting family. For veterans without reliable transportation, these aren't minor inconveniences — they're daily defeats that quietly erode the stability they've worked so hard to build.
That's where Operation Stable Ground Foundation comes in.
WHO WE ARE
Operation Stable Ground Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit dedicated to helping veterans rebuild stable, dignified lives after service. We believe that stability isn't a luxury — it's a foundation. And transportation is one of the first bricks.
THE PROBLEM WE'RE SOLVING
Lack of transportation is one of the most underreported barriers veterans face. Public transit isn't available everywhere. Vehicles are expensive to buy, lease, and maintain. And for veterans navigating financial hardship, disability, or the complex aftermath of service, the gap between needing a ride and having one can be the gap between thriving and falling behind.
OUR PILOT TRANSPORTATION ACCESS PROGRAM
1. Public Transportation Vouchers — for veterans who live near transit but can't afford passes or fare costs
2. Down Payment Assistance — helping qualifying veterans cover the down payment to own their own vehicle
3. Vehicle Gifting — for veterans facing the greatest hardship, gifting vehicles outright
4. Vehicle Leasing Assistance — access to reliable transportation without long-term financial commitment
WHY THIS IS A PILOT — AND WHY THAT MATTERS
This is our first fundraiser and a pilot program. Every donation funds a program and helps us learn which programs veterans need most — so we can grow what matters and prioritize what serves the community best. Our $2,500 pilot goal fully funds the transit-voucher phase first — contributions beyond the goal accelerate the vehicle assistance programs.
Our goal is $2,500. Whether you give $5, $50, or $500, you're investing in a veteran's ability to show up to work, make it to a doctor, and take back control of their life. Small gifts are not small things.
