“One person’s trash, is another’s treasure.” Beam Suntory Employees -
As we prepare for our 'Move to the Mart', we will be hosting the final garage sale for the year on September 14.
Many of you asked during the last garage sale, “How much does this cost?” The answer is, nothing! However, in true Growing for Good spirit, we have set up a Go Fund Me Beam Suntory page for optional donations during our September Garage Sale. Beam Suntory will match our donations to this great cause and local family in Chicago.
All funds will go toward the Barrington family via Operation Homefront - a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that provides emergency assistance for U.S. military troops, the families they leave behind, and wounded servicemen when they return home.
Meet the Barrington Family
Our fundraising efforts will go toward John and Bonnie Barrington from Chicago. John is 80% disabled from serving four years in the Navy. His spouse was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2008, and is currently in the hospital getting a stem cell transplant at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago where she stays and her family visits her. While she is being treated, the family has to hire a stand-in caregiver, which is a stress on the family finances. They also have five children: Tommy 18, Nick 14, Emma 8, Anna 6 and Olivia 4.
Thank you for showcasing the Beam Suntory spirit by giving back to your local communities in times of need. This spirit makes our industry, our company and our communities stronger, and truly demonstrates the power of Growing for Good as part of One Global Suntory.
* Your contribution is tax deductible. Please save a copy of your Go Fund Me contribution receipt after completing your donation.
