Dear friends, family, and basketball enthusiasts,

OHF is reaching out to you with excitement and pride to share the incredible news that North Central High School's basketball team has achieved a monumental victory by winning the GSL District for the first time since 1993!!!  This achievement is not just a triumph on the court but a testament to the resilience and determination of a group of young individuals who have overcome significant challenges on and off the court.

North Central High School is diverse, with over 80% of its students receiving free and reduced lunch, making this accomplishment even more remarkable. Historically considered the underdog and often the subject of ridicule in Spokane, this team has shattered stereotypes and proven that anything is possible with hard work, dedication, and belief in oneself.

Last year, the team won only six games, facing numerous obstacles. However, this year, they have defied the odds and emerged victorious, earning a spot in the playoffs. Now, they are faced with the challenge of traveling five hours to Seattle for their first playoff game, a journey they hope to make in comfort and style.

Our goal is to provide the North Central High School basketball team with the experience they truly deserve. Rather than enduring a lengthy ride on a yellow school bus, we want to allow them to travel in comfort and camaraderie on a coach bus, just like other teams.

To make this dream a reality, we are launching this GoFundMe campaign, seeking your support to help these talented and deserving young athletes. Your contributions will go towards covering the cost of a coach bus, ensuring that the team can focus on the game and savor the moment without the added stress of a long, uncomfortable journey.
