Two Broken Legs. One Little Fighter. Help Junior Heal. ❤️
Junior is a friendly community cat who has spent his young life near the Synovus Bank at Virginia Avenue and 25th Street in Fort Pierce. His caregivers know him and his sister, Midnight, well. They even know their birthday: January 5, 2026.
Junior was neutered through the City of Fort Pierce TNVR program in June and returned to the outdoor home he knew.
Then, on August 26, his caregiver found him lying in the bushes near an AC unit.
Junior couldn’t walk.
When she tried to pick him up, he dragged himself underneath the unit. She knew he needed help and immediately contacted Operation CatSnip.
X-rays revealed a badly broken left rear leg, and amputation was initially planned.
But while Junior was waiting for surgery, our medical coordinator noticed something else.
His left front leg was broken too.
Both broken legs are on the same side of his little body. Amputating both isn’t an option.
So we started searching for another way.
We have found veterinary surgeons willing to try to repair both of Junior’s legs with pins and give him the chance to walk on all four paws again.
But we need help to make it happen.
Surgery estimates are currently $4,000 to $5,600, plus medication, food and recovery care. We’re hoping to raise $5,000 toward Junior’s treatment.
Junior is only eight months old. He has an entire life waiting for him on the other side of this.
And when Junior is healed, he won’t be going back outside. This friendly young man will stay safely in our care while we search for the forever home where he can begin the next chapter of his life.
Operation CatSnip of the Treasure Coast is a volunteer-run, donor-funded nonprofit. We can give Junior the care, safety and love he needs through his recovery, but we can’t cover an emergency this large alone.
