Ogallala Commons is a nonprofit organization offering education and leadership to build vibrant communities in the Great Plains region by reinvigorating the commonwealth which form the foundation for every human and natural community. Our region's commonwealth consists of water & mineral cycle, renewable energy, education, health & recreation, the arts, history, a sense of place, wildlife, the foodshed, and spirtuality. These are 12 essential foundations for community vitality. Ogallala Commons on four activities to regenerate a community's commonwealth: 1. Building a collaborative network; 2. Conducting educational outreach; 3. Fostering a sense of place; and 4. Empowering resilient communities.
