North Valley Animal Disaster Group

On the morning of November 8th, fires broke out in the Butte County region of California.  The “Camp Fire” destroyed more than 140,000 acres, incinerated 14,000 structures, and displaced 27,000 people.  The people of the North Valley Animal Disaster Group  (NVADG) have been working to reunite displaced pets with their families. 

The Dogist calls upon you - our amazing community - to help NVADG care for these pets so they can be reunited with their families.

The Camp Fire, in less than 24 hours,  torched over 31 square miles, or 20000 acres and continues to deeply affect the animals living in the Northern California area of Paradise.

The Camp Fire in California that is currently devastating portions of northern California has also displaced numerous pets and domestic animals. Volunteers are struggling to provide care and shelter for animals rescued from this disaster and are in constant need of funding to support their efforts.

I am an animal lover, and want to thank the North Valley Animal Disaster Group for rescuing and caring for the animals that have been displaced, evacuated, and lost during this tragic event, and am looking to leverage the community's help in raising money for their efforts.

The North Valley Animal Disaster Group (NVADG) works with local emergency agencies and responders to help people and animals in times of crisis. There are all-volunteers and provide education, emergency shelter, and evacuation and rescue to communities affected by the disaster. During the Camp Fire, they have handled over 3,000 calls for service, and currently, have 1,755 animals in their shelters. https://www.nvadg.org

The funds will be immediately used for temporary housing, veterinary care, food, and supplies for countless animals that are unable to return to their homes. The Animals and the volunteers at NVADG will appreciate any donation that you are willing to give. No donation is too small.

Our golden state is on fire. As of Monday, the Camp Fire was at 113,000 acres and 25% contained. The Camp Fire is now the most destructive and deadly fire in CA history - and it's not projected to be out for another 3 WEEKS.

This is a general aid animal relief fund that will go directly to the animal shelters and local animal rescues (wild and domestic, large and small) of Paradise, California and surrounding areas that have been impacted by the Camp Fire as they search for, rescue, treat medically, and shelter the animals who have been evacuated, injured, and/or left behind during these horrific fires.
