NO DOGS LEFT BEHIND

This year for my birthday I will be raising money for an amazing dog rescue based in Beijing called No Dogs Left Behind. As part of this fundraiser I will be matching every dollar donated up to $1,500.

NDLB was started by a group of passionate activists who rescue and rehabilitate hundreds of dogs each year from the brutal meat industry in China. These dogs are captured, some away from their families, crated in teeny cages and kept in filthy conditions while they await to be sold for meat. I won't traumatize you with how they are killed, but the details are gruesome.

Most of these dogs come to NDLB mentally and physically abused, extremely sick, malnourished, and terrified. The money I'm raising will help with vet bills, boarding expenses and flight fees.

NDLB is a 501(c)3 organization and relies on donations to continue this work. They put up with unimaginable horrors to give these animals better lives and I truly admire them for their courage, determination, and selflessness in the work that they do.  Previous Rescue Missions: VIDEO

Joining The Fight To End The Dog Meat Trade In Asia

Barrington Area Teens 4 Change is a local, student run group focused on helping others and making life better for those in and around our community.

With the firm belief that EVERY LIFE MATTERS we have several campaigns on our plate for this year, the first of which is very near and dear to our hearts, and that is rescuing several dogs from the Asian meat market trade.

Teens 4 Change has partnered with No Dogs Left Behind, a not-for-profit organization that engages in every stage of dog rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming locally and abroad.

No Dogs Left Behind is a tireless champion in the fight to end the dog meat trade not only rescuing animals right off the meat trucks headed for unspeakable torture and a brutal death, but also educating the local government and residents on animal welfare and changing their views on the process.

Teens 4 Change is proud to be helping bring a transport of dogs to the states this December, but the process is costly and we are trying to raise money to bring as many dogs on that flight as we can.

EVERY LIFE MATTERS

We are raising funds to transport 6 German Shepherds out of China to the USA where they can find their loving forever homes. Their names are Yoyi, LiFu, Savanna, Yukuai, Sandy & Silver.

They were rescued from an intercepted truck heading for Yulin Dog Meat Festival.

When the dogs were rescued, they were all near death and to be butchered for their meat at the Yulin Festival. At the hands of the butchers they were abused and have suffered severe injuries ranging from open, bone deep lacerations to fractured ribs from being beaten. The 6 dogs have now been completly rehabilitated and received vetinary care and are now ready for loving homes in the USA. They are completely vetted, vaccinated and internationally chipped and ready for travel.

It is illegal to privately own a German Shepherd in China unless in law enforcement. They therefore have no chance of finding a home in China and we need to get them out as soon as possible. They desperatly need your help with the funds for flying them to the USA.

The dogs will be going to rescue centers in the USA, foster care or they can be directly adopted. German Shepherds are extremely loving, inteligent and loyal dogs. Are there any German Shepherd lovers out there in the USA looking to rescue such a  wonderful dog?
