About NewView Institute
Promote awareness and provide counseling services for victim/survivors and perpetrators of domestic violence and other violent crimes. Populations include Black and Brown individuals ages 18-45, who have been traumatized and are in crisis. In addition, we provide grief and bereavement support for co-victims of homicide. We use research based modalities to train other civic organizations on best practices to prevent domestic violence and other violent crimes. An eclectic range of theoretical orientation is developed to meet each individual at their place of need, in neighborhoods where the poor and marginalized women, men and children reside. Services are provided both in and outside of correctional facilities where a robust program is made available utilizing arts, drama & music.
