The Need There is a dire need for more involvement in our community. Seffner is considered safer than only forty-four percent of other U. S. cities, with Brandon on the low end at thirty-eight, Temple Terrace even lower at sixteen percent, and Riverview being the safest at fifty-seven percent. Many areas of this community are destitute and in need of real resources to help improve the lives of it’s citizens. There is much potential, however, an extreme lack of desire and motivation to change. New Life Tabernacle wants to alter to mindsets and invoke a level of change that will promote positive growth for the betterment of our community. Children desperately need an outlet, a place to come after school and meet new friends, dream big, and learn the necessary tools to strategize and accomplish their goals. Through our programs, we aim improve these statistics significantly. More involvement, means our kids will have a safer environment to learn and grow. Finances are the number one resource needed to bring this vision to fruition. Community Family Center With the needs of the community increasing, we have turned our attention to building a state of the art Community center that will be a place of refuge for at risk youth and serve the family unit as a whole. The Center will house two fully equipped gyms, eight classrooms, an industrial kitchen, and an indoor basketball court. Permits have already been secured and the work has already begun on our 26-acre property. We are projecting that the facility will be completed within the next 6 months and will be fully operational by the end of the year. Substance abuse classes, counseling for abused teens, therapeutic sporting activity, and education enhancement opportunities will be a part of the various programs that this Center will provide.
