Dear Friends, Pastors and Business Owners & Neighbors,
We are reaching out to you with a heavy heart and in great need. The recent storm this past week has left the New Life Dream Center/Marina in a very vulnerable position. Tuesday night we experienced high tornado type winds up above 55 mph that resulted in us losing our biggest dock at New Life Marina. This unforeseen catastrophic event has left us in a very difficult position, to say the least. We are so thankful no one was injured. The Marina solely exists to help fund & sustain our discipleship program that exists to help men & women get back on their feet. G Dock housed our biggest boat slips and brought in the most revenue for the program. Without the revenue and with the unimaginable destruction that occurred we are in a seriously compromised position. We are still recovering from the last hit we took a little over a year ago when severe weather conditions ripped through A Dock.
We have been serving people dealing with life-controlling issues at the New Life Dream Center for 17 years. Many have been church members, family members and acquaintances & neighbors of yours. Hundreds of lives have been changed and renewed through God’s grace and love. We are reaching out now to ask you to consider sowing seed into vital and fertile soil at the NLDC so that we can continue the work God has called us to do to continue meeting the needs of the community and the church as a whole.
As many of you know we have never required payment for those in need and have relied solely on donations and the revenue from the New Life Marina. With the cost and effort to clean up the devastation and the loss of revenue from 2 docks it is more than we can bear as a ministry. We have carried liability insurance to protect our berthers and their belongings but to insure the docks has never been an option the ministry could afford.
Please find it in your heart to consider what you and your church or business can do and reach out to those you know that might help to allow us to continue spreading the Gospel to those most vulnerable and in need.
