NEER North could use your help!

We recently took in four new horses that were in a very bad situation, along with two horses that were originally adopted from NEER.

This brought our equine in house total to 24 along with multiple offsite foster horses. We are now at full capacity.

These additional feed, vet and farrier services have put a heavy strain on our budget.

Your donation of $24 (or any amount you are comfortable contributing) would help us tremendously.

Everyone at NEER (two and four-legged) are always grateful for your support.

Not pictured are 2 Tennessee Walking horses and 2 Nigerian dwarf goats. We also networked 2 pigs into a wonderful sanctuary.

Any amount can go a long way to help us reach our goal. Donations of $100 or more will get your name displayed next to the arena.

Good footing is critical for rehabilitating lameness in horses. In fact, poor footing not only exacerbates lameness but is commonly considered to be one of the main contributors to early retirement in riding horses.

Many equines come to New England Equine Rescue with chronic lameness issues that require patience and proper care to rehabilitate. Without an arena, we are forced to perform our vet lameness exams in our paddocks, where the ground is often very hard and uneven or muddy and slick. This can make it difficult to evaluate and treat our equines. It also makes it difficult to perform necessary exercises and training that can help make our equines more-adoptable and suited for their new homes.

A proper sand arena would make a world of difference to our rehabilitation program, but in order to make it happen, we will need proper drainage, footing, and fencing. We need your help!

Since we are on track to completely smash our goal (!!!), we’ve decided to increase it by $2000. These extra funds will help us buy gravel and stone dust for the foundations of the new shelters, as well as rubber stall mats for all of our existing shelters. Please keep sharing this fundraiser and help us keep our equines warm and dry. Thank you so much for all of your support!

With winter approaching, New England Equine Rescue – North is raising funds to purchase new, permanent shelters for our rescue horses and donkeys. A few of our paddocks are still using temporary "hoop house" style shelters, which can be leaky, drafty, and even blow over in strong storms.

We are hoping to raise $3500 by the end of the day on Tuesday, November 27. If we reach our goal, a very generous donor has offered to match the $3500 raised, bringing our total up to $7000!

To show how much your support means to us, we will be fitting one of the shelters with a plaque listing the names of anyone who donates $100 or more to this campaign.
