The New Britain Youth Museum and Hungerford Nature Center are a children's museum and nature center serving the central region of Connecticut since 1956. We offer educational programming for both children and adults. We have a small but mighty staff that make both our sites an educational yet fun experience for thousands of children and adults a year. Additionally, our nature center is home to some 80 animals entrusted in our care. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have had to cancel all of our classes, special events and close the center to the public. We rely on these programs to pay our staff and run our facility.
