Mission Statement:
To increase public awareness of the significant contributions of African-Americans in creating a diversified American theatrical tradition.
To encourage and facilitate a culturally diverse and all-inclusive America by using theatre to teach, criticize, comment and model.
To provide a nurturing working environment for writers and artistic collaborators through supporting the commissioning, development, presentation and documentation of new scripts.
To educate audiences by creating bridges of understanding between people of all cultural backgrounds in this society and the world.
