Nevada Youth Empowerment Project

The Nevada Youth Empowerment Project (NYEP) is the only nonprofit organization in Nevada, based in Reno, that is 100% dedicated to serving housing, life skills, and support to young women transitioning from homelessness into independent adulthood. We create a safe, structured, and empowering environment where residents can grow into strong, capable members in the community.

Right now, NYEP is facing a major plumbing crisis. Years of rot, tree roots, and recent road work have collapsed our piping system, threatening the viability of the home. For the past two weeks, our sewer has continued to back up into the house, preventing the residents from using the water.

The repair project will cost $27,278, which is far beyond our current resources. NDI Plumbing will do the repair. NYEP is dedicated to helping young women succeed, and every dollar we receive typically goes directly to resident support programs. An unexpected expense of this size puts a huge strain on our operations.
