About Nepal America Film Society Inc.
Nepal America Film Society (NAFS) is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization based in Maryland, USA, whose mission is to bring together diverse arts and cultures through cinema. It creates an international platform to promote film culture by organizing screenings, festivals, conferences, and exchange programs. Since its inception in 2016, NAFS has been organizing the annual Nepal America International Film Festival (NAIFF) in Maryland. NAFS strongly believes that cinema is the most powerful medium for effectively portraying diverse stories of people and communities. NAFS has built a unique platform for filmmakers from Nepali backgrounds, sharing the platform with other Asian Americans and other diasporas, American and international film enthusiasts in Maryland and beyond.
