About Native Land Conservancy Inc
In 2012 the Native Land Conservancy was founded as the first indigenous-led land conservation organization east of the Mississippi by Ramona "Nosapocket" Peters of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe. The NLC was established to be guided by a board of directors that is exclusively Native American and intentionally tribally diverse. The NLC mission is to preserve natural landscapes for all living beings and restore land to its healthiest state wherever possible. The NLC draws upon collective traditional knowledge with generations of direct experience in the woodlands, coastlines, and waterways of Indigenous ancestral homelands for guidance.
