June 26th is my birthday and I have a favor to ask you! I have never created a GoFundMe page but decided to do it because the National Park Foundation is very near and dear to my heart. With many cuts in funding, the National Parks are going to be needing more assistance. So, instead of buying me a drink this year, make a donation to the parks! Coletta Ann Tait, of Orion-Gingellville, passed away on April 28, 2025, at 87 years of age. She was an avid traveler and enjoyed many RV and camping trips with her husband, Eugene. Together, they visited many of the National Parks throughout the US and Canada, especially treasuring Yellowstone and Glacier National Park.

In lieu of flowers, Coletta requested that donations be made to the National Park Foundation, so that others may continue to experience the beauty of the parks for years to come.

My name is Peter Daichman, and on May 16, 2025, my friend Connor Page and I will take on one of the toughest endurance hikes in the country—the Grand Canyon Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim in under 24 hours. This means over 40 miles and 11,000 feet of elevation gain in a single push, crossing the canyon twice in one day.

Connor is the one who introduced me to the outdoors, taking me on my first overnight backpacking trip. Ever since, we’ve explored countless trails together, and my love for wild places has only grown. Now, we want to give back to the parks that have given us so much.

With recent funding cuts to the National Park Service, we’re raising $5,000 for the National Park Foundation to help protect and maintain these incredible places for future generations. Every donation, big or small, goes directly toward preserving our parks, supporting rangers, and improving trails.

The National Parks are near and dear to our hearts - we live less than 30 minutes away from Shenandoah National Park and when traveling we always try to visit the nearest one. Help us preserve these places of beauty and natural wonder, which are so important to the health of our planet and the character of our country, so that they can continue to be enjoyed by many more generations to come.

Our National Parks need us now more than ever.

With over 4,000 employees being fired just last week, our government is aiming to shrink our nation's most beautiful quality.

Without your help, the National Parks being defunded will be disastrous. There will be dirty facilities, unsafe trails, and regards for wildlife preservation will diminish!

The future of the National Parks depends on you! Only with your help can we keep the parks clean, keep Park Rangers employed, and teach future generations about the importance of wildlife!

In May 2021, I went on a 6,500 mile road trip to raise awareness and fund for the National Park Foundation. We raised almost $2,500. Please, help out with what you can.

I am a teen who wants the NPS to stay afloat and have enough funding for the National Parks to be preserved. My friends also believe the same, and we all want the parks to stay for future generations. We only know that Trump cuts funding because we all occasionally keep up with the news.
